What is Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser tattoo removal uses the energy of lasers to break down the ink on your skin, which is then naturally discharged by the body. We use the latest technology called the Cynosure Revlite SI, which delivers a highly concentrated beam for a very efficient treatment. The SI allows for continuous 0.1 mm micro-adjustments in spot size. What this means is it is very accurate and lets us remove the whole tattoo, or just a part of it.

How Long Does Laser Tattoo Removal Take?

Unfortunately, laser tattoo removal is not an overnight process. It can take multiple treatments up to 4-6 weeks apart before it is gone. Before beginning a laser tattoo removal program, your practitioner will give you a timeline of the entire process.

Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt?

Again, unfortunately, there is a bit of pain involved, slightly more than getting the original tattoo; however, the Cynosure Revlite SI makes the procedure very quick. Soreness and blistering is also expected. But after a brief period of discomfort, your goal will be achieved.

Will It Completely Remove My Tattoo?

There are many factors to consider including size, colors, and skin tone. Your practitioner will evaluate your tattoo and let you know what to expect. If you are thinking about getting another tattoo, laser tattoo removal can lighten the area enough for a fresh design to cover it.
